What Is QR Code?

QR code or Quick Response Code is a kind of barcode which was invented in 1994 by Toyota for car parts management.

Due to its fast readability and greater storage capacity compared to other kinds of code, QR code system is now used in various purposes but mainly in delivering quick and useful information.

Sours Sakal, a media student from Royal University of Phnom Penh, said that he has been using QR code since 2010. He advised that to scan and use QR code properly, one should have a smart phone with QR scanner application.

Mostly, QR code is seen on advertising material, flight ticket, ID card, electronic device, and business cards.
