Hologram is basically referred to a photographic technique that records the light scattered from an object, and then presents it in a way that appears to be three-dimensional (3D).

There are many ways to create hologram. One of the most popular and easiest ways would be by using plastic paper, and smartphone.

What you need:

1 Piece of graph paper
1 Sheet of transparent solid plastic paper
1 Sticky tape or super glue
Pen and scissor
Smartphone with downloaded hologram video (available on Youtube)

How to make it:

First, draw a pattern of trapezoid on the graph paper. You can choose any size you want depending on how large your smartphone’s screen is. For example, 1 cm, 3.5 cm, and 6 cm for iPhone 6 screen, or 1cm, 4.5cm and 6cm for iPhone 6 Plus screen.
Next, cut that pattern out of the graph paper with scissor. Lay it on the plastic paper. Use the knife carefully to cut the shape out of the paper. Make sure you get four shapes of trapezoid within the same size.

Then, assemble those four transparent trapezoid shapes into a cone. use the sticky tape or super glue to hold them together.

Finally, play the Hologram video on your smartphone, put the cone in the middle, and watch the magic does its work. (Don’t forget to turn off the light!)

Congratulation! Hi-5 to yourself! You have just made your own Hologram!
